The last two times the Democrats of this town participated in the Thanksgiving Day Parade there have been complaints that they are political. How is it that every year the parade includes the Republican Club, the Tea Party and multiple Republican politicians who use the opportunity to campaign for office, but when the Democrats walk with messages of tolerance, inclusion, love and pride of programs that we have created such as Medicare and Social Security, this is called “shameful”?
This beautiful town could use some fresh leadership that encourages a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
