The Town of Fountain Hills has released the names of the five finalists the council will interview to fill the vacant seat on the Town Council. The seat became vacant when Councilman Cecil Yates resigned this summer to run for mayor.
The individuals include Clayton Corey, Gerry Friedel, Peter Gray, Sharron Grzybowski and Sherry Leckrone.
The council has scheduled individual interviews of the candidates for a closed executive session on Tuesday, Oct. 2, prior to the regular council session. The council may name the appointment during the open session of that meeting.
