We’re in a firefight for our survival. Democracy vs Socialism. The torch of liberty has been reduced to an ember without much flame and a future that’s in doubt. Socialism is blazing out of control and getting stronger. However, there are other smaller fires we must face that could become players in our evolving brand of “American Socialism.” Have you noticed?

Communism is spreading. America is a fertile petri dish for communism to flourish. Their efforts seem centered around the elimination of private property. You know, onerous taxes, eminent domain, expensive rules, overwhelming regulations, etc. Can’t you feel it?

Plutocracy is fielding a team. This small group of the wealthiest is strongly influencing the government, poverty, class conflict, etc. Money has become the new societal master in America and plutocrats have the most of it. Don’t you want more money?

Totalitarianism is strong. Now that the two major political parties have joined forces, absolute state authority seems very near. So far the public has been mostly mute. But our government is focused on total control. Do you see it?

This may sound alarmist but…Nazism also had all the above conditions. So how is it that in just 70 years we’re allowing some of what was once the bane of humanity to play a role in America? If democracy can’t survive here, then where?

French economist Fredric Bastait: “It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of law into an instrument of plunder.”

Noticed any government lawlessness lately that is laying plunder to “we the people?”
