Entrance for the dog show is $2 for adults with children invited to attend for free. The show will take place in the FHCS gym with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. The competition is set to begin at 11 a.m.
There will be 10 categories in all with a $10 entry fee per category for each participating dog. Participants are encouraged to register their pooch for as many categories as they like.

FHCS hosts amateur dog show

Fountain Hills Charter School will host its 5th annual Amateur Dog Show this Saturday, Jan. 25, and all community members with four-legged friends are invited to register for the event.

Ribbons will be awarded for the top three finishers in each category.
Categories for this year’s show include most affectionate, most obedient, owner look-a-like, best groomed, best tail wag, best trick, best dressed/costume, best howler/talker, cutest big dog (21 lbs or bigger) and cutest small dog (20 lbs or smaller).
Contestants will be assessed by a panel of judges including Mayor Linda Kavanagh, State Representative John Kavanagh, MCSO Captain Joe Rodriquez and Fountain Hills Times reporter Ryan Winslett.
Pizza and water will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the event will go to support the students of FHCS.
