The four candidates for Town Council will face off in a forum hosted by the Fountain Hills Civic and Cultural Association on Tuesday, July 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend the event at Town Hall in council chambers. FHCCA President Boyce Baldwin will moderate the forum, and former Mayor Wally Nichols will introduce the candidates, who include Lina Bellenir, Nick DePorter, incumbent Councilman Henry Leger and Alan Magazine.
Mayor Linda Kavanagh has been invited to attend the forum but will not be participating because she is running unopposed for re-election.

Any candidates who receive at least 50 percent plus 1 of the votes cast will be elected outright in the primary election. If anyone does not receive a majority there will be a runoff during the November election.
Those elected will take office for a four-year term. The mayor serves for a two-year term.
