The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will hold its October meeting on Thursday October 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Community Center. After a very successful one year anniversary celebration in September, the Club is looking forward to a second year of interesting and informative speakers, camaraderie among like minded people and more opportunities to serve the community and the public at large. We are excited to have as this month's speakers, the Honorable Terry Goddard, former Arizona Attorney General and chairperson of the campaign to abolish "Dark Money" and out of state interference in our state and local elections. Although the abolish Dark Money petition will not be on this November's ballot, Mr.Goddard will address the future of the movement and where we can go from here.

Also scheduled is Judith Levine of the League of Women Voters who will be speaking on the various ballot initiatives, explaining what they are about and what a yes or no vote will accomplish. This talk will be especially useful in helping voters understand what they will be voting for. Additionally we will be discussing volunteer opportunities for the coming election and encouraging members to step forward to run in our upcoming election of Board Members fo the following offices: Vice President, Treasurer, and Corresponding Secretary. All dues paying members are encouraged to run for these offices.

The meeting will start with a half hour of socializing from 6:00 to 6:30 followed by our guest speakers and finishing with a brief business meeting.

All members of the Fountain Hills community are welcome.
