The group will meet at the Community Center Thursday, May 17, instead of its regularly scheduled second Thursday of the month. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. There is a conflict at the center on May 10.
Candidates include January Contreras (Arizona Attorney General) and Katie Hoffman (Superintendent of Public Instruction). Kenosha Skinner, community relations coordinator from the County Recorder’s office, also will speak.

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will host candidates for upcoming elections at its next meeting.

At their last meeting, club members elected Naomi Lerman to replace Cynthia Wharton as vice president.
At the May event, members also will review and vote on revised bylaws. If changes are approved, they will hold a vote on a newly-created “civic engagement chair.”
