The Fountain Hills Democratic Club's second summer Happy Hour took place on July 12 at Georgie's Diner. Close to one hundred members and friends enjoyed happy hour drinks, great food, and terrific companionship and camaraderie. A special treat was the song styling of Dave Karl's on vocals and guitar. In addition, several candidates for office spoke about their progress in campaigning. These included Heather Ross and Garrick McFadden, candidates for US Representative in CD Six, David Schapira running for State Superintendent of Public Education, and Eric Kurland and Daria Lohman, candidates for state Legislature and State Senate respectively in LD 23. Additionally, Ginny Dickey, candidate for mayor of Fountain Hills, and Alan Magazine and Sharron Grzybowski candidates for FH Town Council addressed the very receptive audience.

The event was filled with good cheer as well as good food and was truly a happy "Happy Hour."

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will resume its monthly meeting schedule on Thursday, August 9 at 6:00 pm at the Community Center. Guest speakers will include Kelly Fryer, candidate for Arizona governor. All like minded persons are welcome to join us.
