FDR donations

As you know from previous articles, the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association is raising $50,000 for a bronze sculpture of Franklin D. Roosevelt to add to the other Presidents at Fountain Park. The committee is over half-way to the goal and is excited about the progress the artist has made on the mold.

Any donor who gives $500 or more will have their name on a plaque by the FDR sculpture. This would be a wonderful way to memorialize parents or grandparents who were led through WWII by FDR, and those who were kept out of poverty by the passage of Social Security in 1935.

Roosevelt led this country out of the depression, through the war and into a more secure financial old age for those who lost so much in the depression. On the plaque, you can indicate the name of the person that you are giving in memory of.

Checks may be made out to the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association and mailed to Marty Brown, 15615 Jamaica Ln, Ftn Hills. If you have questions, he can be reached at 480-837-3412. All donations are tax-deductible.

Before Memorial Day, please consider donating toward this sculpture in memory of a relative who lived through the difficult years of 1933-1945, inspired by the leadership of FDR, our longest-serving President.
