The Falcon football squad bested the Wickenburg Wranglers this Friday evening, winning their homecoming match-up 34-21.
The Falcons started off strong, going up 14-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter was a bizarre one, however, beginning with the Falcons throwing an interception in scoring territory, followed by a Wranglers fumble just two yards from the end zone, followed by another interception on the part of the Falcons, and ended with a final interception given up by the Wranglers.
Penalties plagued the Falcons throughout the game, especially during the third quarter. The local boys managed to power through the setbacks, though, and keep a narrow 21-14 lead heading into the final 12 minutes of play.
