Fountain Hills grapplers host Senior Night celebration

Newcomers embrace winning culture

The Fountain Hills High School wrestling team celebrated senior night Thursday, Dec. 14.

The Falcons have six seniors, with four of them wrestling for their entire high school careers, and all of them are carrying on the Falcon way.

Senior Nate Barnard (285 lbs.) is one of the newest additions to the team. He said it’s been fun to learn the sport, but he’s having to learn everything quickly. There are multiple ways to win, and on senior night, Barnard pinned his first opponent from Horizon in 18 seconds, and then he outlasted his opponent from Valley Christian through three rounds to win 1-0.
