Why do bad things happen to good people? Is it OK to believe in a metaphorical resurrection instead of a physical one? What about many Christians’ obsession with all the “Left Behind” stories?
These and many other questions will be considered in the second module (Sessions 8-14) of Living the Questions 2.0 coming up at The Fountains, a United Methodist Church.
These daytime sessions will begin Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 12 noon and will continue on Wednesdays through April 2.

The overall theme is “Honoring Creation” and includes the topics of Honoring Creation, Evil and Suffering, Resurrection, and Debunking the Rapture.
“Living the Questions” is a program created by The Fountains’ pastor David Felten and colleague, Rev. Jeff Procter-Murphy.
The DVD series, now in use by more than 6,000 churches around the globe, was recently published as a book by HarperOne, San Francisco.
Facilitated by Felten, he says these classes introduce participants to ways of thinking about the Bible, their faith, and how to interact with the world in ways that make sense in the 21st century.
Suggested tuition for this seven-week module is $20. Contact the office to register at 837-7627. Those who register ahead will receive a participant guide via email or mail so they can prepare for the first session.
Many have already completed the first and third modules (Sessions 1-7 and 14-21) of Living the Questions 2.0. This middle module completes the program with Sessions 8-14.
Bring your brown bag lunch at noon and plan for stimulating input and conversation until 2 p.m. Coffee, tea and water will be provided.
Child care is available upon request – call the office at 837-7627.
