Fountain Hills residents are invited to attend a fraud and scam prevention seminar at the Fountain Hills Community Center later this spring.
The seminar will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 16 at 13001 N. La Montana Drive, according to a press release. Speakers at the seminar include Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell as well as representatives from the United States Secret Service, Arizona Department of Transportation, National Bank of Arizona, and the Social Security Administration.
The presentation will provide information on scams targeting individuals and families, such as scams by phone, email, text, and online fraud schemes. Tips will be shared on recognizing warning signs, safeguarding personal information and how to properly respond when targeted by scammers. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about resources to help protect themselves and loved ones from fraud.
