Former NFL quarterback Travis Brown will speak at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Christ’s Church of Fountain Hills.
A Phoenix native, he set career records and earned All-American honors as a quarterback at Northern Arizona University. After graduation, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles but was cut from the team in training camp. He later signed with the Seattle Seahawks with whom he spent the 200 season.
Following numerous injuries and two concussions, Brown’s pro-football career was cut short in 2005 while playing for the Indianapolis Colts. He retired and returned home to Arizona and became a high school coach.

Christ’s Church of the Valley approached him to oversee its youth football program, leading him to take an active role in the ministry and becoming the Scottsdale campus pastor.
