The epoch event was named ITE2, as it was held two years after the inaugural ITE (InvitationToEstes).
Vrtis family members stayed in three cabins at Rams Horn Village Resort and they all had a grand time in Estes Park and surrounding areas of Rocky Mountain National Park.
A highlight of ITE2, as it was during ITE, was visiting the Gillette Cabin, now named Lodge-Pole, south of town where Ann and Charles Vrtis brought their large family from La Grange, Ill., to Estes Park, Colo., in 1946. The extended family vacationed at the Gillette Cabin the month of August many years until 1960.
The present cabin owner graciously invited ITE2 attendees to walk around outside as well as inside the cabin that holds many happy memories for the Vrtis family.
