I want to share with others my enthusiasm for voting for Alan Magazine for town council.
At town council meetings, Alan’s professionalism is apparent. He is well-educated, experienced in government service and someone who serves primarily for the greater good and not as an individual who serves for his own self-aggrandizement or financial gain. Isn’t that what you would want from a councilperson; one who gives of their time to study, investigate, listen and then decide what is best for those of us who live in this town?

I moved to Fountain Hills over 20 years ago and I took the choice to live in this community seriously. I wanted a town close to a larger urban area, which would provide me with the services of a metropolitan community without having to inhabit one. I looked for low density residences, views and good schools. I was thrilled to find Fountain Hills.
If I had wanted an area with high-rise apartments, greater density, fewer mountain and desert views and businesspeople placing their own financial interests above others, I would have chosen such a community. If I wanted Fountain Hills to be the “New Kierland Commons” I would have moved there. It wasn’t what I wanted then, nor is it what I want now.
I thank Alan for this past votes to protect our town and I want to encourage him to continue to make such courageous choices on our behalf. If you believe that we are better off with four-story buildings that block views, ridiculous expenditures “to study a beach pool” and more unprofessional/unethical decisions like firing contract personnel without due process, then perhaps another candidate would be more to your liking. I pray not.
