Do we really need another person on the Town Council who is uncivil to residents and an embarrassment to the community?

Current Councilman Alan Magazine was found in violation of several sections of the Town Code of Ethics by an independent, retired judge hired by the town. Because of that report, Magazine was told by the council to apologize to resident Lina Bellenir for his uncivil and threatening behavior toward her.

The apology was arranged to be face-to-face at town hall. At that meeting Magazine chose to insult Ms. Bellenir again, rather than apologize. Both the town manager and the mayor were present to witness this. What an embarrassment for our town to have such a councilman representing us! To this day Magazine has never apologized for his uncivil behavior.

Now former councilman Mike Archambault wants to get elected again to the Council. When Archambault was on the council before, he was censured by the rest of the council for his uncivil and threatening behavior including cursing in public at the town manager, bullying the staff, yelling at residents and many other anger incidents.

Whenever Archambault didn’t like something or couldn’t get his way, he slammed doors and yelled at people. Is this the type of person we want representing us on the council? To this day Archambault has never apologized for his uncivil behavior.

Let’s not elect another bully to the Town Council, one is quite enough.
