In September, the Fountain Hills Town Council approved a three-year Economic Development Strategy (EDS) prepared by Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs. The plan has an active horizon of 2023-2026.
At a workshop session Nov. 2, Jacobs added details to the plan including short-term priorities as the council begins to consider budget objectives for the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
A significant residential development project is on the horizon as the property owner for the Four Peaks Plaza on Shea Boulevard west of Saguaro (Target center) is proposing redevelopment of the site. The plan would be to redevelop the site west of the Target store with as many as 300 residential units, according to Jacobs.
