Due process

Mr. Hinkley has reappeared in the Sept. 4 edition of The Fountain Hills Times. I had given up bothering with the nonsense he continues to spew, but the recent letter prompts a response.

Hinkley either avoided any primary education regarding the U.S. Constitution or he is just terribly ignorant of its content. He chastises the administration for “its treatment of our laws and Constitution.” Then he ends his letter with, “I am cautiously watching for appeals in the Fort Hood killings.” Obviously he objects to any such appeal.

Mr. Hinkley, a question for you. Have you ever heard of the Constitutional right to due process? Obviously not, but be alert here; the right of appeal is granted by our Constitution.

Yes, even for the real bad guys, but I guess you believe you can pick and choose how you think the Constitution should be applied and do so to enforce your very strange ideas.
