Two workshops are scheduled for anyone interested in learning to make dresses and shorts for Dress-a-Girl and Dress-a-Dude missions.
Participants will learn to make dresses and shorts from pillowcases or fabric. Missionaries distribute the clothing to children in more than 90 foreign nations.

Two workshops are scheduled for anyone interested in learning to make dresses and shorts for Dress-a-Girl and Dress-a-Dude missions.

The Christian Homeschoolers of Fountain Hills invite anyone to the workshops from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Shepherd of the Hills Church Fellowship Hall, corner of El Lago and Fountain Hills Blvd.
It is not necessary to know how to operate a sewing machine. Several other tasks are involved, such as sewing kit making, fabric and pattern-cutting, ironing, rolling and bagging items for a Haitian orphanage.
Later this month, the Noon Kiwanis Club and Presbyterian Church members are taking clothing to Project Hope, a school and orphanage near Les Cayes and supported by Free the Kids.
Money and material donations always are welcome.
