Dover: Concerning ‘ethics’ and how it impacts our community

There’s such a thing as “ethics” to the people of the town. Let’s leave off with this focus on these subjective “ethics” and the political side show that has ensued in town government.

What matters is legality and not someone’s opinion of what is and what is not “ethical” and whether or not a breach of those subjective standards has taken place. What matters is the result of the town’s administration as it relates to the people.

Knock it off! Councilors: Get back to providing the proper infrastructure for the townspeople and settle your personal animosities on your own time, preferably in private.

As for all this talk of “civility,” we’re really just talking about another form of censorship. Nothing less. And the town being “dragged down” by one individual? Utter nonsense. Are you, reader, “dragged down?” I am of this town and I can assure you that, far from being “dragged down,” I am quite buoyant. It’s a great town as is!

Dissonance in politics is a good thing and natural, not bad.  When it’s bad, or worse, not allowed and punished, then you are no longer free.
