Doctor joins Place to Heal Wellness Center

Naturopathic doctor and registered nurse, Dr. Karen (Sigurdson) Willfahrt, brings many years of health care experience to A Place to Heal Wellness Center, 16626 E. Avenue of the Fountains, suite 201.
She lived in Fountain Hills from 1986 to 2004. During that time, she had a private practice before she moved to Rio Verde Foothills in 2004.
Willfahrt continued to see patients in her home office and made house calls until she married Dave in 2000 in Wisconsin.
She lectured extensively before her move to Wisconsin as part of the Healthy Living Lecture series at Arizona State University.
With her colleague, Dr. Allyn Krieger-Fiedler, they presented the “Doctors are Cooking” lecture series.
Willfahrt returned to the Greater Phoenix area in 2013 and has worked as a nurse in pediatrics, home care, hospice and infusion nursing, in addition to a conducting a small private practice.
She believes nutrition and lifestyle therapies are powerful and not only promote healing but may provide complete healing from many illnesses.
Depending upon the condition, Willfahrt may prescribe Western or Chinese botanical medicine, acupuncture, IV therapy or electromedicine,
A Place to Heal Wellness Center offers nutrition and lifestyle therapies to treat body, mind and soul.
The clinic specializes in holistic addiction treatment and holistic treatment of PTSD.
The center teaches yoga, meditation and mindfulness, as well as laughter therapy classes. A licensed massage therapist is on site.
