When our government sold us on diversity they promised it would be non-discriminating, non-racist and humane. Diversity was pushed hard for public acceptance, and like the herd animals we seem to have become, we didn’t even look up from our morning cereal.
A study by Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam found that the greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity. In the most diverse communities neighbors trust one another about half as much as the most homogenous settings.
Diversity makes us uncomfortable. Forced diversity is what’s keeping us divided. Think maybe the blueprint used for implementing diversity is the same blueprint they used for eliminating poverty?

Is diversity why English is not our official language? Is diversity why Asian, Latin and African minorities are frequently the beneficiaries of special programs, to the exclusion of others? Is diversity why government schools force unqualified student participation and then dumb down the curriculum? Is diversity why we kill our unborn babies and then advocate for more illegal immigration and open borders?
After “affirmative action” failed (1980s) it was replaced by diversity. But like “affirmative action,” diversity is incapable of adjudicating right and wrong. Instead, diversity has become synonymous with intolerance. Tragically we’ve ended up dividing and judging people, in large measure, by the way they look and believe. You’ve let others define your diversity. How do you like it?
Thomas Sowell has a nifty quote about diversity: “The next time some academics tell you how important diversity is, ask how many Republicans are in their Sociology Department.”
Think it’s time for the government, media and academia to stop interfering and give all citizens a chance at the future? Think merit could replace diversity?
