Historically discrimination meant the ability to understand (key word) that one thing is different from another thing.
Today, discrimination is the action that denies social participation or human rights to categories of people based on prejudice. Now that’s ugly. What happened?
Psychology holds that emotionality created by prejudice, which means inflexible and irrational attitudes and opinions, stem from the unconscious attitudes, of any kind, causing a person to ward off feelings of inadequacy and guilt by projecting themselves into a cause, any cause. Truth or reason just doesn’t matter. Why not?

Group prejudices attract emotionally venerable people to their cause. An easy advocate for group prejudice is government. Although government actions may not have anything to do with merit or fact, it does give the appearance of concern and vote keeping. Is it working?
Discrimination uses many terms and negative connotations to twist and remodel itself. Affirmative action, homophobia, multiculturalism, zero tolerance, class warfare to name a few of many. Non-discrimination pleadings from homosexuals and other sexual deviants are contrary to the dominant standard norms of our society. Ever hear the expression “homosexual pimps?”
History has proven that deviancy never gets equal or superior treatment in government or society. Don’t we still have the poor? What about welfare? Crime?
We’ve all experienced low self-esteem, uncontrolled passion, guilt, you name it. However, normal logic does not inflict prejudices forcibly onto others. Think about it. How can two different things be honestly treated as the same thing?
Henry A. Wallace, our 33rd Vice President said, “It is no coincidence that the growth of modern tyrants [cruel powerbrokers] has in every case been heralded by the growth of prejudice.”
Where are we today?
Morality cannot be mandated nor legislated. Morality is yours alone. I don’t want your prejudices. Do you want mine?
