It’s been busy at our office lately, we‘ve been working on the Dining Guide and the new phone books will be delivered to our office by the printer this week.
The books will be distributed to all homes and businesses in Fountain Hills over the next three weeks.
Residents of the Verde Communities will be able to pick up their copies at the Rio Verde Post Office.
The book includes alphabetized listings of residents in Fountain Hills and Rio Verde, a clubs and organizations contact page, a page of government listings, a page of Fort McDowell numbers and a classified yellow pages section of area businesses.
Our book has a photo of a fountain on the Avenue of the Fountains on the cover. And you should not confuse it with a book that was recently distributed locally that was printed by hibu Inc. It has a baseball stadium on its cover
We have been publishing the Fountain Hills and Verde Communities Telephone Directory since 1977.

Let me put my museum hat on for a moment.
There is a lot going on in March at the museum.
The design committee is busy on the creation of new displays that will emphasize the use of water in the lower Verde River Valley.
Docent and board member Kit Wyper came up with a possible theme of the museum’s renewed interest in water. She said she tells visitors on her tours, that “The Museum is about the people who have lived here from ancient times to today and how they affected the water and how the water affected them.”
That same statement will be emphasized in a renovation of some of the displays in the museum.
Museum Executive Director Luke Bate is working with representatives of Epcor, the Salt River Project and the Central Arizona Project on information and design concepts for the displays which are planned to tell the story of how we get our water supply in Fountain Hills, the Verdes and Fort McDowell. Once everyone approves of the designs, artist Rex Witte, who created the original displays, will be doing the actual construction of the new displays.

And mark your calendar, especially if you are from Wisconsin, for the annual Wisconsinfest museum fund-raiser that will be held on Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. I’ll have more on this event in the near future.
