Difference

I was proud to be a part of this year’s Fountain Hills Make A Difference Day.

What a sight, what a feeling to get up early and meet several hundred of your fellow residents with the singular goal of helping a neighbor. Lots of friendly chit chat over coffee and donuts, almost jovial, then off for a few hours of hard work, but boy is it honest work.

A special mention to Volunteer Coordinator Heather Ware without whom this wouldn’t happen -- thank you for all you do, Heather.

Also, it was great to see Mayor Linda Kavanagh and Vice Mayor Cecil Yates, along with Town Manager Ken Buchanan and Representative John Kavanagh, all pitching in with the rest of us.

Thanks to all of you for helping me make a difference
