For some reason we can’t reason with each other even though we are neighbors belonging to the same organizations, clubs, etc.

I’ve been asked why I am supporting Cecil Yates; if memory serves me best, I go back to the early 2000s when MCO Properties submitted plans for Eagle’s Nest and Adero Canyon. The town council wanted less density and a green zone. The issues couldn’t be reconciled since the council turned down MCO’s land price of $3.5 million dollars, so it went to arbitration. Instead of 340 lots the arbitrator decided on over 400 lots, the $3.5 million dollar land price became over $10 million dollars.

So I’m skeptical when an advocate whose history on the council was “no” to almost every development project. The mayoral debate sealed my decision; being a good person with little business experience doesn’t equate to competence in managing a $33 million dollar budget. Think about it.
