It’s not new news that the corner of Shea and Palisades someday would be developed. Everybody accepts that, but a good development that maintains our values and enhances Fountain Hills is what we all want. The bad news is what is being proposed.
Imagine a 400-rental unit development including an assisted living area, lowering the existing zoning code to accommodate the builders, traffic, no stop lights proposed, congested entrances and exits and we could go on and on.
But the worst news is that it’s the corner of Shea and Palisades, our last entrance to Fountain Hills that says, “Welcome to a really special place to visit and even better to call home.”

The best part of the development? Oh, there is none. Please oppose this proposal so we don’t become Fountain Flats.
