Dennis: We owe much to Mayor Dickey’s leadership

Posted

There's a few in this town that must live in the half-empty world. Their negativity, their lies, their misleading approach makes me wonder how happy they may be with everyday life. But that’s not me. I always have a half-full view, which is much different.

We live in one of the safest communities in the state. We have great, modern, award-winning parks. The town continues to live within its financial means. Our property values continue to grow. Our store fronts are filling up with local businesses. We have close access to regional facilities including airports, sports, shopping, entertainment. We're recognized for our fairs, our Thanksgiving Day Parade, Stroll-in-the-Glow and other local events. We have that “small town” charm and feel

Sure, we have more needs and wants. But compared to other communities, we live in a great one – adjacent to a major metropolitan area.

So, I voted to re-elect Mayor Ginny Dickey. She's how we got here. And I share her vision of the town’s future and, in fact, her version of what our community really is. We owe her much because of her leadership.
