Parents and educators in Fountain Hills need to be cognizant of the fact that bullying and teasing can be very damaging to children. I've already heard reports of kids being teased on the school bus and I see it in classrooms – it's got to stop.
Certainly, parents should be the main influence on children to stop bullying and then that could be reinforced in the schools. But teasing or taunting a child because they are tall or short, fat or thin, have curly hair or straight hair, or whatever is unacceptable.
Please talk with your kids! Promote kindness, empathy and decency.
