In the past several months, a very dedicated group of people fought very hard against a developer who expected to come into this town and bully its citizens into allowing yet another senior living center. These developers thought they could threaten our town, intimidate our citizens and backdoor their way into destroying our property values and ignoring our strategic plan.
Dozens and dozens of concerned homeowners rallied together to fight this. Unquestionably, many residents weren’t even aware of this potential disaster. This amazing group of people gave up countless hours of their time, walking through neighborhoods to bring awareness and gather signatures. They sacrificed time, large amounts of their own money, opened their homes for meetings and brought passion like I’ve never experienced in my 24 years in this town. I wanted to thank all of them for their knowledge, determination and desire to see common sense prevail.

Thank you as well to Planning and Zoning for their recommendation against this unsightly beast. Thank you to the Town Council for their unanimous vote against these bullies.
Rarely does it seem possible to make such a huge difference and I am eternally grateful to everyone involved for their efforts.
