Many of us will be attending the debate June 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center between our two mayoral candidates. Glad to hear that voters understand that this is a non-partisan election; that we are voting for the candidate who will be best for Fountain Hills and its residents.
Both candidates were for the property tax increase so there isn’t a divide there. It will come down to who is the better, more experienced candidate who can lead us through the $7 million budget shortfall and explain to the voters and non-voters what and where the painful cuts will be and how they may or will impact their property values.
Many of the full-time residents with school-age students want to know that the town will be a good partner by supporting FHUSD. Although it is summer, hopefully there will be a well-attended debate so that voters can hear and hold accountable the candidate that they choose to vote for moving Fountain Hills forward.
