The upcoming Fountain Hills public schools School Board election is critical for the future of our schools. We wholeheartedly support Karl Gaardsmoe for election to the School Board. Karl was appointed to the board just over a year ago and has served in a noble fashion.

Karl has a wonderful “financial mind” and has been instrumental in helping audit and control the district budget as is so necessary in today’s “frugal” Arizona school climate.

We have known Karl for more than a decade. His love for our town and our children is apparent. His experience in finance has been invaluable.

Karl’s daughter Sophie, a junior at our high school, has grown up in our district. Karl has been involved with his “only child” for her entire life. Karl’s extreme closeness to his daughter has been strengthened through his involvement with school projects, highlighted by his multi-year role as treasurer for the PTO.

We strongly recommend that we insure Karl’s continued presence on our School Board as we face continued budget challenges. Through his compassion for students and teachers, and Karl’s strength at putting in place strong metrics and measurements, our schools will continue to not only survive, but thrive.

Thank you for joining us in voting for Karl Gaardsmoe this fall. He is truly an individual who leads in making our community “a shining light on a hill.”
