The Town Council will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 22, for its day-long annual planning retreat. The session gets underway at 8:30 a.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The session is open to the public, but the format for the meeting dones not generally allow for public comment.
There are 15 items on the agenda to be discussed including:
Citizen satisfaction survey results.
Financial reporting update and preview.
Capital improvement plans.
Facilities reserve plan update.
Proposed establishment of a Culture and Preservation Commission.
Update on public safety services evaluations.
Fund savings recommendations related to the American Rescue Plan Act.
Long-term street needs committee update.
Discussion related to requirements for detox facilities and group homes.
Possible code amendments to keep town codes up to date.
Enforcement update related to sign ordinance changes.
Discussion related to possible town membership in the Arizona State Retirement System.
Proposed community branding project to provide a marketing theme for the Town of Fountain Hills.
Discussion regarding possible short-term lease of the former Four Peaks School building to allow continuation of the Biz Hub Business Accelerator and other town uses.
Discussion of Sunridge neighborhood park survey results with possible direction from council.
