The Fountain Hills Town Council was to consider action on sanctions against Councilman Allen Skillicorn on Tuesday, March 5, however, questions regarding the process resulted in a delay.
Councilman Gerry Friedel said he does not believe the process the council was taking for the discussion is consistent with the Town Council Rules of Procedure and asked for clarification. Friedel said he believes any proposal for sanctions should be discussed first in executive session before action is taken in an open meeting. There was no closed executive session for discussion.
“Are we going to violate our own procedures?” Friedel asked. He proposed the council go into executive session for further discussion.
