Sheriff’s Capt. Dave Letourneau, commander for MCSO District 7, based in Fountain Hills, will address the Town Council this week regarding recent truck traffic on local streets and roads.
The town has designated the routes for the trucks hauling dirt from two subdivision construction sites in town.
An accident last week between two of the trucks prompted some concern and Letourneau will explain how law enforcement is monitoring the traffic for safety.
The council consent agenda has several items of interest including the reappointment of Robert Melton as presiding judge for the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.
The council will consider an $8,000 expense to modify and improve the disc golf course at Fountain Park.
An amendment to an agreement with Brown & Associates Certified Inspection Service for plan review and inspection will be extended. The town’s chief building official is taking an extended medical leave.
The Town Council will meet on Thursday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
