Fountain Hills Council certifies ballot results

July 30 primary election

The Fountain Hills Town Council voted unanimously to certify the primary election results from July 30.

The council met in special session on Tuesday, Aug. 13, to canvass the results provided by Maricopa County Elections.

Councilwoman-elect Gayle Earle, 4,226 votes, was the only candidate to receive enough votes in the primary to be elected outright. The mayor’s office and two other council seats will be determined by a runoff to be held with the Nov. 5, General Election.
