It looks like things are about to get busy up at CopperWynd Resort again, with an expansion aiming to stretch the facility from 32 to 300 rooms, as well as add a conference center that should serve as an additional draw.
It feels like we’ve been doing a lot of reporting on Fountain Hills’ growth this past year, and that’s great news as far as we’re concerned.
CopperWynd is already a top-notch facility, but the resort has improved its existing amenities by a sound margin in recent years. As the business continues to grow, it’s good to hear that stakeholders would want to capitalize on that success.

And it’s a success that should translate to positives for the community, too. Moving from 32 to 300 rooms is no small feat, and we imagine some new job opportunities will open up once everything is up and running.
CopperWynd has also started hosting some big events recently, including a major women’s tennis tournament these past few years. Having more rooms on the premises means more folks will be able to stay on-site. That should result in those same folks eating at more local restaurants, grabbing gas at local stations, shopping in local stores and visiting local attractions.
We’re eager to see things unfold at CopperWynd in the coming months and years. And hopefully this is just the latest in a growing trend of local businesses finding new ways to enhance their own offerings and, by extension, the offerings of the entire town.
