The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services/Recreation Department has lined up cooking classes later this month and beyond into the fall for youngsters and adults.
Students between the ages of seven and 15 are eligible for the Junior Chefs class where they will learn the elements of cooking. They will be taught recipes and preparation methods for various foods from around the world.
They will learn about kitchen safety, cooking terms and recipe structure. They will compile a book of the various recipes they make to take home.

The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services/Recreation Department has lined up cooking classes later this month and beyond into the fall for youngsters and adults.
Students between the ages of seven and 15 are eligible for the Junior Chefs class where they will learn the elements of cooking. They will be taught recipes and preparation methods for various foods from around the world.
They will learn about kitchen safety, cooking terms and recipe structure. They will compile a book of the various recipes they make to take home.
The class will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays from Aug. 21 through Sept. 25, and again at the same day and time, Oct. 2-31, in the Community Center.
Chantal Sahr is the instructor. The cost is $110; pre-registration is required.
Classes also will be offered during fall school break from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Oct. 9-13.
Individual workshops are scheduled mainly on Tuesdays, starting Sept. 12. Each class from 5:30 to 7 p.m. is $30.

Adult workshops
Adult cooking classes will meet for 90 minutes every Thursday starting Aug. 31 and continuing through mid-December. Each class will feature themed recipes that will be easy to duplicate at home. The fee is $30.
