True Christians are dismayed and shocked over the recent rantings of a Tempe clergyman who called for gays and lesbians to be killed.

To quote attorney Cathi Herrod, of the Center for Arizona Policy, “We stand for truth, but want to do so with utmost grace.

“This pastor twisted and cherry-picked certain Scriptures to make his deranged case for such an atrocity.

“Just because real Christians stand for Biblical principles, does not mean we wouldn’t respect or value others.

“Instead of tolerating lies preached in the name of the Lord, we need to advance God’s truth in love and mercy."
