Construction begins at FireRock condo project

Excavation and site work has begun at the location of a planned 64-unit luxury condominium complex within FireRock Country Club.

Toll Brothers, a nationwide homebuilder with its Arizona base in Scottsdale, is the developer for the project, which is located on a hill along Firerock Country Club Drive across from the clubhouse.

The site design has a land plan to create a “nestled” feeling for each of the individual condo units.

Construction begins at FireRock condo project

Posted

Excavation and site work has begun at the location of a planned 64-unit luxury condominium complex within FireRock Country Club.

Toll Brothers, a nationwide homebuilder with its Arizona base in Scottsdale, is the developer for the project, which is located on a hill along Firerock Country Club Drive across from the clubhouse.

The site design has a land plan to create a “nestled” feeling for each of the individual condo units.

Toll Brothers used the Scottsdale firm of Swaback Partners for land planning and design. The company is intimately familiar with desert site concepts.

The planned outcome is a neighborhood setting with the feel of individual luxury homes rather than the multi-family housing the site zoning would allow.

The 14.6-acre hillside location will provide optimum views for the 32 duplex housing units. The individual units will range from approximately 1,800 square feet to 3,000 square feet. Company officials estimate the cost of the homes will range from $500,000 to $600,000.

Model units could be open for tours by late summer or fall of 2016.

It was nearly 10 years ago that a developer came to the town with a proposal to build 88 condominium units at this location.

The downturn in the economy let the plans slip with the property changing hands a couple of times during the recession.

Toll Brothers acquired the site and has moved quickly on development plans. The company is also developing single-family homes in the Adero Canyon subdivision of Fountain Hills.
