Confusing

It’s confusing to me that some Democrats are anxious to create a Medicare for All system after fighting for years to not only get the Affordable Care Act passed, but to keep it from being repealed.

Luckily, it doesn’t appear that Arizona’s newly-elected Democrat members in Congress, like Senator Sinema and Congressman Stanton, support this extreme position. They probably realize what most of us do, and that is: After all that hard work, why would Democrats want to start over?

Furthermore, Medicare for All is a program that would cost billions in new taxes while kicking millions of people off their private health insurance plans, regardless of whether they like their current plan or not. I worked in the health care industry for many years and know that having a patient with peace of mind is vital to their overall well-being.

Medicare for All would throw our healthcare system into disarray and put healthcare decision-making in the hands of our government, and that is scary to think about.
