Why are the current Corporation Commissioners approving rate increases in excess of their own staff’s recommendations?
Why has the Town Council had to start legal proceedings on behalf of our residents and businesses? Why has the Residential Utility Consumers Office (RUCO) been driven to do the same?
We need a Corporation Commissioner like Jim Holway who will represent us, who takes the time to understand our issues, who will ask the tough questions and hold utilities accountable. Jim is hearing from residents in Fountain Hills, Payson, San Tan Valley, Sun Lakes, Sun Cities, Anthem, Verado, and Tubac unhappy with water /wastewater rates and quality of service.

Fountain Hills and RUCO agreed that a reasonable increase was warranted since the infrastructure is old. Council settled unanimously on about 11 percent, as that was what Fountain Hills and ACC staff was OK with.
The current five Republican commissioners not only raised the rate by over 20 percent but added other options for increases that could pass without the same public process and input.
In addition, many residents have seen large and to date many unexplained increases in actual usage, and have been dissatisfied with the customer service from EPCOR/Chaparral to assist them.
Jim Holway is running to represent us and brings over 20 years of experience addressing Arizona’s water challenges. By contrast, his opponents Little and Forese have received $3 million in secret funds, now assumed to be coming from APS, because they are the commissioners the utility wants.
Please vote for Jim Holway and Sandra Kennedy for Corporation Commission.
