Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Jan. 9, through Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Thursday, Jan. 9
*A resident of the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that an unknown subject created a fraudulent utility account in the complainant’s name.
*Deputies responded to Falcon and Tioga drives for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said a motorist failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Center Lane where a vehicle collision was reported. MCSO reports a driver made an improper turn and struck another vehicle. One driver was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
*Deputies report that a traffic collision occurred at Shea and Palisades boulevards when a motorist rear ended another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
Friday, Jan. 10
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. for a call for service and made contact with a subject. A routine check of records revealed that the subject had an outstanding felony warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
Saturday, Jan. 11
*Deputies responded to Grande and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reports a motorist made an unsafe turn and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported that a subject posted unwanted signage on multiple neighbors’ properties without permission. Charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.
*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole the victim’s purse and contents while at a business.
*Deputies were conducting follow-up to an investigation on a prior call for service in the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive when they contacted a subject. A records check revealed that the subject had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
Monday, Jan. 13
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a utility trailer from a business.
*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Trevino Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies say a driver failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Eagle Mountain Parkway for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reported a motorist ran a red light and struck another vehicle. One driver was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The vehicles were towed from the scene.
Tuesday, Jan. 14
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. MCSO reports that a driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 64 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. where a business reported that a subject trespassed at the business. The victim was not willing to aid in prosecution.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Calle Del Oro reported that an unknown subject contacted the victim by phone and presented a fraudulent scheme to defraud the victim out of money.
Wednesday, Jan. 15
*Deputies received a report of a possible child abuse incident that occurred in July 2024. The case has been forwarded to detectives and the Department of Child Services for investigation.
