Take Off Pounds Sensibly welcomes newcomers
Anyone looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight loss is invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
Fountain Hills Woodworkers meet April 13
Fountain Hills Woodworkers meet Saturday, April 13, for a presentation on building teak, mahogany and mesquite buffet table by incorporating recycled quality woods and carved relief panels of Arizona wildlife.
There is no charge to join Fountain Hills Woodworkers. Anyone interested in woodworking is invited to send an email to kim.colenso@cox.net for information including the time and place of meetings.
Any non-profit with a woodworking need is invited to contact the club with their need.
Al-Anon holds regular meetings
Al-Anon family meetings are held each Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the classroom building.
The only requirement to attend is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Attendees will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
Community Center contract bridge winners posted
Contract bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center. Membership in the Community Center is required to participate.
Winners from March 15 include Peter Maciejewski in first place, Norma Klein in second place and Joanne Arneson in third place.

Botanical Garden seeks volunteers
The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers to join its cause to keep the trail in good condition for all to use.
The garden requires stewardship from the community to keep the trail accessible to all.

Rotary Club of Fountain Hills hosts speaker
The Fountain Hills Rotary Club will host Cathi Marx, a health, safety, insurance and risk management consultant who will discuss personal safety Tuesday, April 2.
Held at the American Legion Post 58, 16837 E. Parkview Ave., the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills meets at 4 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group convenes
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group will convene April 8 when FH Chamber President Betsy LaVoie and TOFH Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs will present a cost-benefit analysis on Fountain Hills events.
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at the Community Center. Pre-registration is required for all presentations. The programs are free for Community Center members or $5 for non-members.
