Take Off Pounds Sensibly welcomes newcomers
Those looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight loss are invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly welcomes newcomers
Those looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight loss are invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
Al-Anon holds regular meetings
Al-Anon family meetings are held each Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the classroom building.
The only requirement to attend is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Attendees will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
Community Center contract bridge winners posted
Contract bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center. Membership in the Community Center is required to participate.
Winners from Nov. 5 include Gerd Brinkman in first place, Peter Mack in second place and Richard Rasmussen in third place.
Winners from Nov. 12 include Roger Watton in first place, Cathy Marco in second place and Gerd Brinkman in third place.
Winners from Nov. 19 include Charlotte Ashbrook in first place, Linda Killinen in second place and Roger Watton in third place.
Winners from Nov. 21 include Ray McGinley in first place, Cathy Marco in second place and Linda Killinen in third place.
Winners from Nov. 25 include Roger Watton in first place, Sharon Harvey in second place and Marilyn Morrissette in third place.
Botanical Garden seeks volunteers
The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden seeks volunteers to help carry out its mission to preserve, maintain and share the botanical, geological and historical significance of this special place.
Volunteers can participate in a number of roles including preservation and trail management, leadership and officer roles, programming, marketing and education.
The Garden requires stewardship from the community to keep it accessible to all. For more information, contact contactfhdbg@gmail.com.
