Clear choice

Words mean something…all of the time.

Take for instance a recent Facebook quote from a Fountain Hills resident in response to someone saying that they would vote for Ginny Dickey for mayor because she’s smart, kind and wonderful.

The person’s retort was, “Smart, kind and wonderful are not the qualifications for Mayor, sorry. Mayor Linda M. Kavanagh is the best choice!”

Really, that’s an amazing response for two reasons: First, if “smart, kind and wonderful” are not good qualities by which to judge your Mayor, then I guess I wonder what are. But more importantly, is this person saying that Linda Kavanagh is not “smart, kind and wonderful?”

The choice is very clear in my mind. I’m writing in Ginny Dickey for mayor and connecting the arrow next to her name because I find Ginny to be the most informed politician who works tirelessly for all.
