'Check, Please' Sofrita's episode airs on PBS Thursday
“Check, Please”, the Arizona Eight PBS restaurant review program on Channel 8, will air a segment about Sofrita’s restaurant, 16848 E. Avenue of the Fountains at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2.
Co-owner Carolyn Redendo said the program will be shown in the restaurant for any customers who might want to see the opening season show.
Three volunteers dine and review three restaurants of their choice. Also included in the first episode of 2014 will be the Citizen House and La Piazza Al Forno.

James Beard award-winning chef Robert McGrath hosts the half-hour program.
A television crew filmed a Flamenco guitarist and singers entertaining last August.
The program will be repeated at 3 p.m., Saturday and 1 a.m., next Monday.
