The Chabad of Fountain Hills is hosting a New York Kosher Deli Pop-up, where the community can enjoy sandwiches packed with one-quarter pound of authentic, kosher deli meat including pastrami, corned beef and turkey that are imported from New York.
The event will be held Sunday, Nov. 12.
Each deli sandwich is served on rye bread with a dill pickle slice and a choice of potato salad or coleslaw. Plates are $16.99 to $18.99.
The potato salad or coleslaw are sold as sides for $3.49 and some additional items on the menu include matzoh ball soup and kosher pickles.
Water bottles and soda cans will be available for sale for $1.50.
Sandwiches will be available Sunday, Nov. 12, from 12 to 4 p.m. for pickup or dine-in at the Chabad Center’s spacious Social Hall, which will be set up with plenty of tables for seating.
People can take their chances the day of the event but are urged to pre-order by Friday noon to guarantee availability, a press release said.
New York Kosher Deli fundraising sale has been “popping up” for five years in a row at the Chabad of Fountain Hills, with a growing positive response each time, the release stated.
Proceeds from the pop-up deli benefit Chabad’s ongoing activities.
