Cards of Fountain Hills postal station to close in September

Owner notified by USPS of contract site closure

Jennifer Pearce, owner of Cards of Fountain Hills, says she has been notified by the U.S. Postal Service that the contract postal unit at her store in the Plaza Fountainside will be closed effective Sept. 30 this year. That is the end of the fiscal year for the U.S. government.

Pearce said she received a letter that simply stated that the Postal Service was exercising its option to close the site.

“We are a huge support for the Fountain Hills Post Office,” Pearce said.
